About Dave Foulger
David Foulger was born in Derbyshire, England. He moved to Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire as a child when his father accepted employment for a Manchester newspaper. Following various positions of employment in his teenage years David was employed as an apprentice furniture maker. Embracing the creativity that a furniture maker held David continued to further his skills at his art. David has been working with reclaimed timber for almost a decade now. He has close relationships with many in the industry and can source the finest quality timbers from the old industrial mills of North England.
Working with ancient timbers is much more exciting and creative than working with new timber. You really can feel the energy of the hundreds of people who throughout the centuries of industrial England have come into contact with the wood. Creating something new and contemporary out of something old really is satisfying.

Quality, Reclaimed Timber
David has built up a firm relationship with local suppliers of reclaimed timber. All timber is inspected for authenticty and quality before work is commenced. Whether the timber is sourced from old railway sleepers from old English railway lines, timber from old churches nestled in the valleys of West Yorkshire or from the old textile mills, quality and authenticity are of paramount importance.
